Celebrate Hour of Code with a FREE Coding Session

Swim with Santa

Monday, December 5th. 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  Buffaloe Rd. Aquatic Center, Raleigh

Advance registration required. Bring your suit & camera and take a dip and a photo with Santa. Santa’s elves will be running holiday’s themed activities and an opportunity to write a letter to Santa. Admission rates apply. For information call 919-996-5600.

Nature Tots:  Seasonal Discoveries

Monday, December 5th.  10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.  Harris Lake County Park, New Hill

For ages 1-3 years with an adult. Discover what is out & about seasonally in the park each month in this program. Experience the natural world and the critters that live in it through stories, hands-on nature activities, games & more. Dress warm for outdoor fun in nature.  Register in advance. Ipreo Raleigh Winterfest Ice Rink

Bring your friends and families to Raleigh’s only natural ice outdoor rink.  Check out the skating schedule here.  The rink will be open until January 29th.

Science Solvers:  Kids Code

Take time to clear out cluttered shelves of books your kids have outgrown to give those books a second life with a child who needs them. Kindly donate NEW or Gently USED books to promote literacy in our local community. Park Tales: An Orange for Frankie

FREE family program. The Stowell family is abuzz with excitement, and Frankie, the youngest boy, is the most excited of all. But Pa hasn’t returned from his trip and he’d promised to bring back oranges – a holiday treat. Heavy snows might mean no oranges, and, worse, no Pa! Through all this, Frankie learns an important lesson about giving. Come share this heart-warming story written by Patricia Polacco and hear how other people celebrate the winter holiday season. For all ages (adult accompaniment required for all children).Registration is not required.

NC Chinese Lantern Festival

Have you taken our family to this magical light festival?  Enjoy this annual festival with more than 20 all new displays, each one comprised of hundreds of parts, and thousands of LED lights.
