Things to Do with Kids Over the Holiday
Runs until Sunday, January 15th. (Tuesday-Sundays) 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Koka Booth Amphitheatre, Cary
This annual festival is mesmerizing visitors both young and old. Enjoy over 20 magical lights displays with over a thousand LED lights. Enjoy the craftsmanship, cultural significance and artistic beauty of the lantern festival. Cost: Kids 2 and under are free, $10 for ages 3-17 years, $15 for Adults over 18 years
Exhibit runs until Sunday, March 12th. NC Museum of Natural Sciences, Raleigh
Kids can enjoy this interactive exhibit exploring the world of those teeny-tiny microorganisms crawling on our skin, swimming through our gut and traveling throughout intestines. Larger-than-life models, games, videos and more will keep kids learning. Tickets can be purchased online or on site.

Have you been watching ABC’s “The Great Christmas Light Fight”? Then you know Happyland Christmas Lights was recently crowned the winner of the show’s finale. Bring your family out to make some memories and be dazzled by the twinkling lights and displays by the Moore family.

The original television classic comes to life on stage during this Broadway series performance. Come start off your holiday season with a special visit to this magical show.

Celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Carolina Ballet’s annual classic, The Nutcracker, a holiday tradition perfect for the whole family. The only Nutcracker in the country with real illusions, created by world-renowned magician Rick Thomas.

Come out and enjoy this holiday celebration with children’s activities & crafts, donut decorating and watch the menorah ice sculpture be completed right on site.

Piper Lights is dazzling families with their light displays and more. They were also an episode winner of ABC’s The Great Christmas Light Fight”. Come early and start making some twinkling memories this holiday season.

Marbles is helping your family celebrate the holidays with Artrageous: Polar Painting, MakeShop: Artic Automobiles and more.

Skate on Downtown Raleigh’s only outdoor natural ice skating rink. The rink will even be open on Christmas Day for families to enjoy. Cost: $10 per person includes skate rental. $5 for children 4 years and under.
